How To Use B-Roll Content For Your Brand

When it comes to creating video content for social media, it can honestly be a bit overwhelming. From scripting, to filming and then editing that can take many hours of the day not allowing you to truly focus on running your business.

Except when you learn how to actually film B-roll footage and then edit the content from there.

I know it may sound like it’s too good to be true but b-roll footage is some of the most highly watched content on social media!

Here are three things to know about using B-roll

1. It’s super easy to film!

One of the great things about filming B-roll is that it can be filmed as you are going about your day.

When you are in in person team meetings or on Zoom calls you can have your camera recording the entire interaction and now you’ve got 10 minutes, 20 minutes or even 30 minutes of B Now are you okay-roll.

This doesn’t mean that the footage is the most highly shot footage on the planet, it just means you have content that has been captured.

2. It’s very easy to edit!

One of the great things about b-roll is that when you are editing this footage you are not trying to make it look like a movie. You’re just trying to give people something to look at when they come across the content. What’s going to cause this video to be the best is going to be the voiceover. And this is easily done inside of Instagram, TikTok or with the editing app CapCut.

3. You can reuse it over and over again

The footage you have filmed is not singular to one subject. It’s just footage! So in a couple of days you can use the exact same footage and put different text on screen and a different voiceover and it gives people an entirely different video. And all you had to do was film it one time and then just spend a few minutes doing a voiceover and text edit.

Some of my most viral content and income producing have been b-roll footage that has a voice over and text edits on them.

If this is brand new to you I’m doing a free Workshop teaching you how to create b-roll footage and offering you my best shot list for when I am filming.
