The Best Times To Post on TikTok

Do you know the best times to post on Tiktok in 2022? Do you also see why it matters? If your post will meet your ideal audience and drive them to perform the desired action, then you have to post it when they are online and active, as well as when they are ready to engage with your offerings.

To ensure that you have your posts when your audiences wake, read along and find the best times to post on TikTok in 2022.

Firstly, know the location of your audience and when they are active. You must understand how Tiktok analytics work.

1. Know your audience’s timezones

To know this data, I needed to see the analytics of the activities on my Tiktok account. So, I updated my profile to the Tiktok Pro account, where TikTok allows one to learn much about their followers. If you are yet to have a pro account, it’s time to upgrade and get all the insight you need into your audience and their behaviors.

The next thing I did was find out where my audience/followers are from the followers’ tab and their active time zones.

According to the Influencer marketing hub, here are the suggested best times to post on Tiktok.

  • Monday: 6 AM, 10 AM, 10 PM
  • Tuesday: 2 AM, 4 AM, 9 AM
  • Wednesday: 7 AM, 8 AM, 11 PM
  • Thursday: 9 AM, 12 AM, 7 PM
  • Friday: 5 AM, 1 PM, 3 PM
  • Saturday: 11 AM, 7 PM, 8 PM
  • Sunday: 7 AM, 8 AM, 4 PM

However, you will have to calculate and convert time according to your audiences’ time zones.

2. Where are your audiences located?

Most of my followers are in different states in America and other countries, so I always schedule my posts to appear according to their different time zones.  To know that, study TikTok analytics and see their various countries and states. Then, from the volume of visits, you can see where you have the most followers and try to schedule your posts for those timezones.

3. When are your followers active?

Gone are the days of blind marketing. These days, on TikTok, you can see how your followers engage, and the time they do. With this information, simply calculate their active hours and convert them to their suitable time. Schedule your posting to those times and see the change in the engagement of your content. Additionally, look at the content tab under the post analytics; you will observe that some videos garner higher engagement at a particular time than at other times.

4. Take note of the content that performs

Another crucial area to prioritize is the type of video that garnered more engagement at a particular time. I usually spend more time studying the trend and designing my videos to feed the needs of my audience. Clever marketing means letting everything I do on TikTok work for me repeatedly.

For every post that attracts massive engagement, I also redo similar posts with some additions and post them when my followers are awake and active. In the digital world, content is still king, and if it doesn’t resonate with your followers, then the views, likes, and sharing will be low, which is not what you want.

5. Don’t forget hashtags.

Whatever you are selling on TikTok, you aim to have more engagement, and hashtags have proven to be a helpful feature in getting posts viral. While putting up posts at the best time on Tiktok is essential, using hashtags will help the posts to pop up in your audience’s feeds whenever they visit the TikTok app. That way, they never miss a post.

6. Is posting on TikTok better in the morning or evening?

This is a commonly asked question, and I like business owners to understand that this works differently for all audiences.

Some people say Saturdays are unsuitable for postings on TikTok because people will be outside with families, especially in the summer. Even though that might be true, your analytics on Saturday will still be the judge. I post every day of the week but at different intervals because I know when my followers will be on the app and the kind of tips they will like to hear over the weekend. Lastly, I like to include a dance or gym video, something fun and motivational.

I always check the analytics from my other social media accounts, Youtube, Facebook, and Instagram, to see my audience’s activities. I always recommend having different social media platforms, as it is helpful for business growth. So it will help you know how and when your audiences are active and use that information for my TikTok marketing.

Strategically, every digital marketer should practice analyzing their content performance from time to time, what posts are best performing at this time or how many views you got when you posted at this certain time of the day. With the results, you’ll be able to make some tweaks to your strategy to have a better outcome for your business.

Once you master the best times to post, you will start noticing good business growth on TikTok. Now is the time to start creating great content and growing your brand on TikTok.
